Maynard's Biography

| Keith Maynard Eshelman
lives in San Diego with his wife Chris and three children, Devin 27, Carey
20, and Robyn 18. When he’s not surfing, traveling or enjoying the
family, he is the Executive Vice President of a large California subcontractor.

| Growing up in Palos Verdes, he began surfing in 1960.
Keith now surfs North San Diego County and rides a 9’3"
Mark Martinson Stepdeck . During the summer he gets out his 1967 Jacobs
Donald Takayama Stepdeck. He enjoys annual surfing trips to Costa Rica,
Hawaii, and Mexico. |

When he moved to San Diego in 1966 to attend San Diego
State, he took with him a sealed box of old magazines. His passion
for surf collecting began when he opened the box up 25 years later and
discovered the first five years of Surfer Magazine and a few surf movie
posters. For the past 18 years, he's been buying, selling and
trading surf magazines and posters.

| Keith launched the website The Gallery of Surf
Classics in September 1999. This site is a virtual museum with over
335 surf movie posters from the 60’s. It has averaged over 60 hits a
day. Collectors from all over the world have contacted him including
Poland, Australia, England, Hawaii, Lake Michigan and Oklahoma. |

| Tim DeLaVega, a friend from Kauai, asked Keith to
participate in his new book The Surfing Collectibles Guide. The
first issue covered Surf Magazines and Surf Movie Posters. The Guide was
published in August 2000 and is available through this site and at select
surf shops. |

appraisals of surfing memorabilia and has been an expert appraiser
for Randy Rarick's Antique Road Show at the Hawaiian Islands Vintage
Surf Auction. |
